The LWAC Annual Talent Show began with a vision from Kayla
Armstrong.  She read a magazine article about a young girl who
sent care packages to the soldiers in Iraq.  It inspired her to
create "Talent For Our Troops" that year, and in 2007, raised
enough money to send care packages to the U.S. soldiers
serving in Iraq.  There were 30-40 participants, and awards were
given to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.  

The 2008 LWAC Annual Talent show was also a success, and
the money raised from that event also went to support a cancer
victim.
