Charlie's Mustang
Rolls again for a hero...after 40 years
Charlie Miller, of Piketon, Ohio, gave his life in Vietnam on  May 1, 1967.   Charlie's
beloved Mustang now rolls again in honor of all our heroes.

***************

In 1965 Vietnam war was raging high.  The military is calling and duty is falling on the boy
living the American dream, driving his green machine.

Many years have passed since the young American Hero lived his dream, but his Mustang
survived.

Now with the American Hero's Mustang we will go town to town in parades in honor of all
the souls we know.

First, a big thank you to API Group and VFP Fire Systems, for your vision in
hiring Wounded Warriors and our
Military's Best.  These are our heroes, and
n
ow that Mike Gifford's vision for Charlie's Mustang has come to life, it can help
honor these heroes and Charlie as it now
"Rolls With a Cause".

Above are pictures of the 1965 Mustang as it was being refurbished to it's
original status, and then the finished product as it was carried throughout
Portsmouth, Ohio, in our first parade, The River Days Parade, on September 5,
2009.

Charlie Miller of Piketon, Ohio, drove his Mustang with pride in the 60's before
he went to war...and now we at Living With A Cause can carry it with pride, as
just one way of showing honor to all our veterans, fallen heroes and Military's
best.

It was recently said by a friend of Charlie's, " I remember Charlie's Mustang.  It was the
fastest thing around with those 2 four barrels. The local guys in Beaver, Ohio, had hot
rods until Charlie brought over the Mustang and nobody could touch him."

Charlie's Mustang has the original 20,000 plus miles on it.  As you can see in the above
picture, the two four barrel intake that was just like Charlie's making sure everything
was like it was when it was new.  As the picture of the Mustang body shows, it had been
completely stripped down to bare metal inside and out, then primed, painted and
everything re-assembled.
